Read consensus for DNA storage

Context

The reading stage of DNA storage requires bioinformatics processing to reconstitute the initial digital information. This consists of two main stages:

  • a clustering stage to group together similar reads
  • a consensus stage which uses the clusters to reconstruct sequences with the lowest possible error rate.

These two steps are carried out successively on PiM. The consensus step is achieved by constructing a de-Bruijn graph that requires a k-mers count at each cluster level.
